Baltimore County, Md. (April 19, 2012) – The Baltimore County Police Department will be partnering with Towson University during Tigerfest weekend, April 27-29. Baltimore County Police will be assisting with any neighborhood problems connected to Tigerfest.

Beginning on April 27 at 11 a.m. and continuing throughout the weekend, special enforcement patrols will be visible in the Donnybrook, Knollwood, Towson Manor and Kenilworth Avenue communities to address any negative impact of Tigerfest on residential neighborhoods.
Officers will be patrolling those neighborhoods to address any disorderly, violent, and illegal behavior, such as:
- Loud noise or music
- Disorderly conduct
- Setting fires
- Sexual assaults
- Indecent exposure/urinating in public
- Destruction of property
- Alcohol violations, such as underage possession or open container violations
- Possession of illegal drugs
- Resisting Arrest
- Possession of Marijuana
Last year, 42 people were charged with civil or criminal offenses during the neighborhood patrols. Most of the charges involved alcohol-related offenses, such as underage possession of alcoholic beverages, possession of false identification, and open containers.
Baltimore County Police would like to remind everyone to drink responsibly, make good choices regarding personal safety, and to respect neighbors who may not be participating in the festivities.
