Baltimore County Police Shoot Home Intruder and Robbery Suspect

The Baltimore County Police Department are reporting that one of their officers shot a suspected home invader and robbery suspect on December 19, 2011.  The intrusion occured in the 3200 blockl of Walford Drive.  A woman awoke on that morning where she found a masked man in her home.  She was able to escape the home and call 911.  When officers arrive, one of the officer fired at the suspected intruder and struck him.  The suspect was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

If you are home and find an intruder, you should immediately call 911 and try to remove yourself from the area where the intruder is.   If you are able to lock yourself in a room until police arrive or escape the home so that you do not have to make contact with the intruder.
