A man is charged with DUI (driving under the influence) after he crashed into the front of a Party City store. Jason McCullough, 33, was charged with DUI after his vehicle was found inside of the Party City in the Festival of Riva shopping Center. McCullough informed the police that he had taken medication earlier in the day.
If the Defendant had taken medication earlier in the day, the police would charge him with driving under the influence of drugs and drugs and alcohol or driving while impaired by drugs and drugs and alcohol. In addition, the driver could be charged with negligent and reckless driving.
If convicted in Maryland, driving under the influence can carry up to 1 year in jail and or a $500 fine as well as probation, fines and fees. If the driver is convicted of driving while impaired, he could face up to 60 days in jail and or a $500 fine.
