Suspect Arrested by Baltimore County Police in Murder Case in Dundalk, MD

Suspect Arrested in Precinct 12/North Point Murder
Baltimore County, Md. (December 13, 2011) – Baltimore County Police have charged a 19-year-old man with homicide for the September 16 shooting in the Precinct 12/North Point area. Jeremiah Ezekiel Edwards, 19, of the 7400-block of Berkshire Road, 21222 has been charged with first-degree murder and use of a handgun in a crime of violence.

On Friday, September 16 just after 2 a.m. County officers responded to Lange Street and Dalton Road for a possible shooting. Officers found the victim lying near the curb, suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was identified as Robert Charles Nelson, 24, of the 7900-block of Lansdale Road, 21224. Nelson was taken by paramedics to Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Jeremiah Edwards. He is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on denied bail status.
