Updated Number of Meningitis Infected Patients in U.S. from Steroid Injections – October 17, 2012

The CDC has updated the number of cases in the U.S. of individuals affected by the fungal meningitis contracted after receiving a steroid injection:
As of October 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. the CDC is reporting that:
247 people have been infected in the U.S. Number has risen since yesterday of 233.
19 people have been killed in the U.S. by the steroid injections. Number has risen since yesterday of 16.
Good news for Maryland that the number of people infected and/or killed by the fungal meningitis has not risen since yesterday.
