Statement on Roy McGrath

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of my client Roy McGrath on April 3rd. The news of his death was unexpected and tragic after three weeks of turmoil. The FBI informed me of his death after he was engaged in a conflict with agents in Tennessee. The investigation into this conflict and the cause of Roy’s death is ongoing.

During our interactions, Roy was always very professional and engaged. He was passionate about his family, career, and the people of Maryland. It is important for me to emphasize that Roy was steadfast in his claim of innocence. He never wavered from his position, and I believe that it is necessary to convey this on his behalf. Despite the allegations against him, he maintained his innocence throughout the entire process.

Roy McGrath’s passing is a loss to his family, friends, and community. As his lawyer, I will continue to remember him as a hard-working man invested in his trial, and I extend my deepest condolences to his family during this difficult time.”
