Rachel Morin’s Family Reacts to the Sketch of Killer

Press Release

Harford County, Maryland – February 13, 2024 – A sketch of Rachel Morin’s killer is offering hope to her family that an arrest is imminent. It has been just over six months since the tragic disappearance and subsequent murder of Rachel Morin, a mother of five and beloved member of the Harford County community. Since August 5, 2023, when Rachel went missing while out for a run on the Ma and Pa Trail, her family, friends, and community members have been tirelessly searching for answers and seeking justice for her senseless killing.

Patty Morin and her family are expressing profound gratefulness for the recent development of the sketch of Rachel’s killer. Patty stated, “We are so thankful and encouraged that a sketch has developed for Rachel’s killer. This is a significant step forward in our pursuit of justice, and we are hopeful that it will lead to the identification and apprehension of the man who took Rachel away from us.” This sketch was generated from eyewitness accounts here in Maryland and in Los Angeles, California, where the same man attacked a family.

Furthermore, Patty Morin has emphasized the importance of community involvement in the wake of Rachel’s murder. She remarked, “We are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from the community and country since Rachel’s murder. Your kindness, prayers, and unwavering support have sustained us during this difficult time.”

Patty emphasized the urgent need for closure, stating, “I can’t live with pain for the rest of my life. I just can’t do that. We are praying this sketch will help catch the killer and help us to move forward. We need to find this guy. I’m so weary of crying. I’m so tired of feeling sad. I am empty without Rachel’s radiant life shining. We want this man caught so no other family has to feel this pain.”

In response to inquiries about how the public can assist in the search for Rachel’s killer, Patty provided three recommendations: Firstly, she urged individuals to examine it closely. She encourages anyone with information to call the tip line if something seems familiar. Secondly, she emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant and aware of one’s surroundings, as the suspect remains at large. Thirdly, she continues to encourage contributions to the Rachel Morin Reward Fund, hoping that increased funds will incentivize someone with information to come forward. She encourages anyone interested in contributing to the reward please visit the Rachel Morin Reward Page at https://ricelawmd.com/reward/

Additionally, the family’s attorney, Randolph Rice of Rice, Murtha, Psoras, highlighted the significance of the new sketch in their efforts to reach the public. He stated, “The development of the new sketch provides us with valuable tactics to disseminate this image to the public. We will continue to create new campaigns to get this image in front of as many people as possible. Someone knows this man and can end this tragedy for the family and the country.”
